Crazy for You
at Forestburgh Playhouse
Chaz choreographed Crazy for You in the Catskills at Forestburgh Playhouse. The show received wonderful reviews (see below) and partnered Chaz with this wonderful Equity theatre for the second time, having previously choreographed FBP's production of Mary Poppins. Chaz was ecstatic to team up with Director Trent Blanton. The show ran in August 2017 and featured Broadway's Christopher Rice and Darien Crago as Bobby and Polly.
Choreographer Chaz Wolcott tirelessly worked and milked that entire playing area for everything it was worth. He did not leave a single inch of lost space on that stage. The result? An enthusiastic dance extravaganza that simply does not end until the house lights come up...And if I'm going to talk a little more about tap, I have to bestow kudos to the ensemble who pranced and popped and clickity-clacked right alongside these stars. No truer words were sung that night than their Act One closer "I've Got Rhythm." The dancing alone without a storyline was worth the price of admission"

Choreographer Chaz Wolcott has outdone himself, and the big showy numbers are outrageously fun. But it is the entire cast that makes the production sparkle, as even the smallest bit parts produce laughs, chuckles and guffaws often followed by spontaneous applause"

The Gershwin magic works wonders under the expert guidance of director Trent Blanton and choreographer Chaz Wolcott. The leads and company sang and tapped their way into the hearts of the happy capacity audience at Wednesday’s matinee....What makes this production such a success is not only the talented acting but also the extraordinary dance numbers with tap-dancing rapping the boards and raising the rafters."

It’s hard to ask for a greater display of talent and hard-work pizzazz than The Forestburgh Playhouse’s current production of George and Ira Gershwin’s Crazy for You."
