Many creative projects are either cancelled or postponed due to the COVID-19 crisis facing America.
Creator and Director Chaz Wolcott tells the tale of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent shutdown entirely through dance. This new video series takes viewers on a theatremaker's journey to find ways to cope with his harsh new existence amidst a global pandemic. At times emotional and at times funny, Cooped Up strives to reminisce with viewers about the rollercoaster we’ve been riding for the last year. From "Tiger King" and Zoom tutorials to isolated holidays and emotional baking, from virtual funerals to vacations in our bathtubs, this last year has been a whirlwind experience that is worthy of being commemorated in this dance time capsule.
The Stars Align
Chaz directed a virtual concert featuring Tony Award & Emmy Award Winner Kristin Chenoweth and Tony Award Winner Kelli O'Hara and over 100 other alum from Oklahoma City University. The Stars Align managed to raise $8k for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and their COVID-19 relief efforts. Chaz directed/choreographed the Opening Number and performs a solo at 1:07:27. Chaz also interviews Kristin Chenoweth and Kelli O'Hara as host of the event, which he edited and organized. Watch the concert below.
Don't Break the Rules
