Newsies
at The Legacy Theatre

Chaz served as Choreographer & Associate Director for the Legacy Theatre's production of Newsies. He was thrilled to pass the torch on to the next generation of newsboys! The show, which is the regional premiere of the Disney smash hit, ran from July 7-30, 2017 breaking Legacy box office records to become the most attended show in the theatre's history! Producer and Director Scott Richardson and Chaz had a blast working on this show together! For more: www.atthelegacy.com
One source of the production’s exceptional quality is certainly its choreography, provided by New York City-based Chaz Wolcott, who was part of the national touring company of Newsies and has appeared on So You Think You Can Dance. A true ringer if there ever was one, Wolcott has provided the cast with a range of energetic high-kicks, heroic precision-leaps and other acrobatic razzle-dazzle which permeate the show’s several production numbers and which had Friday’s opening night audience gasping and applauding spontaneously."

The Legacy’s production also has an original cast member on board. Chaz Wolcott was a member of the “Newsies” national tour. He choreographed the show remotely from New York City but came to Springfield in June to help the cast polish their performance."
